An item I saw is no longer listed. Where's it gone?

Because I use genuine vintage and antique materials in my jewellery, a large proportion of my items are limited runs. However, if there is something you wanted and can’t see anymore, always get in touch and I’ll do my best to get it back, or something similar.

Maybe. Discounts and other offers are advertised on my Facebook page, and nowhere else. So join!

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, many Silk Purse, Sow’s Ear customers come from overseas, and postage is one flat rate regardless of where in the world you live. International orders are sent out next working day after payment via Royal Mail Airmail.

Please note that any Customs Fees incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser.

When will it arrive?

The vast majority (about ninety percent) of mail arrives within the following timescales after posting:

  • mail to the UK: 3 days.
  • mail to other countries in Europe: 1-2 weeks.
  • mail to the US, Australia and other countries outside the EU: 2-3 weeks.

What is your returns policy?

Jewellery from Silk Purse, Sow’s Ear can be returned unworn in its original packaging within seven days of delivery. You do need to get in touch with me beforehand to let me know you’re returning, and I would recommend that your use Recorded Delivery as I won’t be able to refund if your item is lost or damaged en route.

I can’t accept returns on earrings for hygiene reasons.

My item has not arrived, what should I do?

It’s helpful if customers allow fifteen working days for UK mail to arrive, and for overseas customers to allow twenty five working days. These times are set out by Royal Mail and they will not consider a package lost until this period has passed. After that, if your parcel still hasn’t turned up please get in touch with me.

Will you spam me if I give you my email address?

I won’t email customers about anything other than their order. I don’t pass on customer’s information or contact details to anyone, ever. I don’t send out marketing or promotional emails. For anyone who wants to hear about offers and new products, my Facebook page is the best way to go.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or regular account payments all through PayPal.

I don't have a PayPal account, how can I pay?

You can still pay online without a PayPal Account. I also accept cheque and postal order as well as the usual credit cards. Just contact me if you have any questions or problems paying and we’ll work it out.
